Features: Activated charcoal is a type of charcoal made from steam-activated coconut shell. This carbon is ideal for removing chlorine, as well as for removing toxic products, pesticides, herbicides, chemical compounds such as dyes and medications, and other toxic compounds that are generated during the operation of the aquarium. Aquarium fiber is an inert material that retains small particles such as uneaten food remains, fish feces and dead plant remains.
How to use: Activated carbon is placed in both box filters and any other filter using a blanket bag. The activated charcoal must be changed every month to maintain its constant absorption capacity. The fiber is placed on top of the activated carbon in the box filter and should be washed with aquarium water every week or sooner if necessary.
