Incubation Medium for Reptiles

Our SuperHatch is an Advanced Incubation Medium that allows for easy humidity monitoring (changes color) and is indefinitely reusable. Excellent for gecko eggs.

INFORMATION: SuperHatch has extreme porosity combined with a very fine internal structure size. This allows SuperHatch to absorb and retain large amounts of water, with a very slow rate of evaporation. This helps control the rapid release of water that causes surface moisture and condensation.

CAUTION: Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes, open wounds or cuts. Wash hands after use. Keep out of the reach of children. INGREDIENTS: 100% Claylite.

INSTRUCTIONS: Place SuperHatch in a strainer or porous bag. Soak in water for a few minutes, remove and let drain. Add SuperHatch to your incubation container, filling it about halfway. Add the eggs and that's it! Saturating the SuperHatch and allowing it to drain is a suitable mixture for most species. Some species require less moisture in the container, and this can be easily achieved by taking the saturated SuperHatch and mixing it back with 1% dry SuperHatch. You can also mix SuperHatch with water in a weight/weight or volume/volume ratio to obtain the required moisture level. Always use the largest incubation container possible. The minimum recommended size is a 16oz container for a couple of gecko eggs and a shoebox-sized container for 10 to 20 eggs. The more volume there is in the container, the less drastic environmental changes can affect the conditions inside the container.
